INKY is a cloud-based email security platform that helps protect your organization from:
Phishing emails (fake messages trying to trick you)
Spam and malware
Brand impersonation / fake login pages
INKY works alongside Microsoft 365 email filtering to add an extra layer of protection.
Why are we using INKY?
Even with strong built-in Microsoft 365 protections, some phishing emails can still reach inboxes. INKY helps reduce this risk by scanning emails for suspicious content and warning users before they click.
How INKY protects your inbox
INKY checks incoming email using advanced detection methods such as:
Computer vision (detects fake branding, logos, and lookalike emails)
Machine learning and AI (identifies new and evolving threats)
User-friendly warning banners (simple messages added to emails)
INKY is designed to be low impact: it does not require software installs for users and does not interrupt day-to-day email use.
What you will see in your email
INKY adds a banner to some messages in your inbox. These banners help you quickly understand whether an email appears:
Safe

Potentially unsafe / suspicious
Figure 2: Example of a Suspicious INKY banner
If you try to click a suspicious link or respond to a risky message, INKY may display an additional warning to help prevent accidental exposure.
What should I do if I see a warning?
If an email is flagged as suspicious:
Do not click links or open attachments
Verify the sender using a trusted method (call/text the person directly)
Report it using your normal process or contact IT
When in doubt, treat the message as unsafe and ask for help.
Quarantine
If Inky determines an email is unsafe, it flags the message and sends it to Microsoft for quarantine.
Inky does not store any mail within its application, other than for logs.
Quarantined messages can be accessed and released through the Microsoft quarantine at the URL below
